Gloucester Park - a 7 acre park lake in Gloucester Park, Basilson, Essex with depths of up to 16 feet and a central island, a good stock of carp to well over 20lb and a huge stock of tench. Hainault Park Lake - a five or six acre lake well stocked with carp with possibly a few thirties present! Day ticket and syndicate water. Tel: 0181 5218534

Highams Park Lake - a five acre lake with some carp up to mid twenties, it can be very difficult in the summer mainly due to the mass of weed which sometime grows on this lake but good fishing is possible here! Day ticket water with no night fishing. Tel: 0181 5218534

Nazeing Meads - 3 large pits and one small pit all of which hold carp to just over 30lb! Season tickets are about £60. Tel: 01992 717711

Oak Lodge - A 3 acre lake in Rayleigh, Essex, this lake contains fantastic stocks with a good head of carp including 20's, 30's and a carp close to 50lb the lake also has catfish of over 100lb so make sure you tackle up STRONG. Tickets are £20 for a 12 hour day or a 12 hour night, you might think this is expensive but just consider the fish this small lake holds for more info tel: 01268 545600

Raphael Park Lake - a seven acre lake in Romford, carp go to about 28lb, day tickets £4 season tickets also available for £25. Tel: 01708 521721

Wake Valley Pond - a very nice forest lake situated in Epping Forest off the A104, the lake has plenty of features including rushes, weedbeds, overhanging trees and varying depths up to 12ft, carp go to over 20lb and the lake also contains some smaller wildies. Beckton District Park - a good London park lake this which has grown very popular with younger carpers, the fishery contains a good head of fish which go to well over 20lb. Brooklands - very well stocked with carp, tons of doubles and twenties + plus a number of thirties, the pit is situated just off the A2 as you go towards Dartford, day tickets on the bank at about £4 per day, no night fishing but don't let that put you off as this has a huge stock of carp so put plenty of effort in and you should get plenty out, for more info tel: 01322 228532.

Chilham Mills (Mid Kent Fisheries) - this fishery has 5 lakes well stocked with carp and other species, a recent capture of Two Tone at 60lbs makes this fishery holder of the UK record carp. There is a season membership, day tickets on only one of the lakes at this fishery, for more info tel: 01227 730668.

Darenth - this great fishery has 4 lakes - Big Lake, Tip Lake (syndicate), Tree Lake and Long Lake (day ticket) all containing a good head of carp the best of the 4 for the big fish being Big Lake and Tip Lake, you really need to give it your all on this fishery as it is constantly under heavy fishing pressure be very experienced carp anglers, the lake are in Darenth near Dartford, for more info tel: 01322 290150.

Longford Pits - one large pit of 70 acres an island and goes up to 30ft in places plus a smaller lake of 3 acres situated in Chipstead, Kent, carp go up to 30lb but we don't know which is better for carp the pit or the small lake, good pike are also present. Season tickets available at a cost of £45, £25, for 16 - 18 year olds and £12 for OAP's these small are all subject to a one off joining fee of £15, for more info tel: 01322 435257.

School Pool - a well known 12 acre lake situated in Faversham containing a good head of carp to well over 30lb, one of the reason that this water is so difficult is that there is no night fishing allowed and trying to catch such large fish in such a short period of time can be very difficult "but not impossible" for more info and tickets tel: 01795 534516.

Sutton - an excellent fishery situated in Sutton - at - Hone Dartford, heavily stocked with carp to well over 30lb, we believe this fishery to be season ticket but for more info you can call RMC Angling on 01276 456611.
